CHICAGO– When comic performer Ray Hui submitted his one minute film to the Asian Pop-Up Cinema’s “Stay-At-Home Short Film Competition” back in May, he didn’t realize that three months later his “2020 A Year in Review” would still be relevant. So add predictor-of-the-future to his long resume of comedy and performance. His film will be part of a Short Film Showcase at the online and virtual YippieFest on August 21st and 23rd, 2020, and will be available at YippieFest.com through TWITCHTV. All the information is available by clicking here.!—break—>

“2020 A Year in Review” features Hui’s dry and sharp humor, as he goes month by month through this special year, highlighting all the nuttiness of staying at home, creating activities and finally having the courage to wear pants. Ironically in the film, as he checks off the months, the calendar pauses on August. His film was a WINNER in the competition with four other entries. Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com will introduce the films in the YippieFest Short Film Showcase PROGRAMONE, which includes Hui’s film and other Asian Pop-Up winners.
